Martin, originally from Bulgaria, is an illustrator & author based in the Lake District, UK. His work combines simplified shapes, playful lines and limited colour palettes, and is often inspired by vintage illustrated books, historical periods, the natural world and childhood nostalgia.
His debut picture book The Planet in a Pickle Jarwas selected by The Guardian as a Best Children's Book of 2021 and has been translated into ten languages worldwide.
